Ice Skating at Grouse Mountain

The Mountaintop Skating Pond is open daily, typically until 9:00 pm. However, towards the end of the season, the rink may have shorter hours or close due to weather conditions.

Despite its name, the Mountaintop Skating Pond is actually a purpose-built outdoor rink. It provides a scenic and safe skating experience without the risk of falling into icy waters.

Skating is included with general resort admission. However, if you don’t have your own skates, rentals are available at the Fireside Hut next to the rink.

The Sliding Zone – Winter Fun for All Ages

The Sliding Zone offers a thrilling sledding experience for visitors of all ages. Located near the main lodge and skating rink, this dedicated hill is perfect for some lighthearted winter fun.

Important: Guests must use an official Grouse Mountain Sliding Zone sled—personal sleds and crazy carpets are not permitted.

Rental Fees:

  • $5 per session
  • $15 for a season pass (per person)

Typical operating hours are from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm or later, but hours vary depending on snow conditions. If the snow becomes too icy, slushy, or sparse, the Sliding Zone may temporarily close until conditions improve.
