2024/2025 Ski Season at Mount Seymour

The 2024/2025 ski season at Mount Seymour officially began on December 17 and concluded on April 13. Dates for next season are to be confirmed.

Mount Seymour Ski Resort Overview

Mount Seymour offers a well-rounded experience with:

  • 40 ski runs across 200 acres of terrain
  • 330 metres of vertical drop
  • Three chairlifts & five lifts in total
  • Terrain for all skill levels, especially beginner & intermediate skiers

As the easternmost of Vancouver’s three local ski mountains, Seymour often gets the most natural snowfall and offers stunning panoramic views of the Lower Mainland. It’s also one of Metro Vancouver’s most budget-friendly ski resorts.

 

Getting to Mount Seymour

You can drive directly to the mountain (although depending on the weather, winter tires or chains may be required). A shuttle service operates from Parkgate Community Centre in North Vancouver and Rupert SkyTrain Station in Vancouver. Return fares range from $10 to $15, with free rides available just after Christmas.

Skiing & Snowboarding at Mount Seymour

Mount Seymour’s six Green runs and 26 Blue runs make it a great choice for families and beginner-to-intermediate skiers. The resort offers:

  • A mix of wide-open and tree-lined runs
  • Stunning views of Vancouver & beyond
  •  A 1.5 km-long downhill run

The resort operates five ski lifts, including a high-speed quad chair and two double chairs. There’s also a covered magic carpet lift and a small Tots Area Wonder Carpet.

 

Mount Seymour Terrain Parks

For snowboarders and freestyle skiers, Mount Seymour has four terrain parks:

  • Mushroom – Beginner-friendly, located at the Goldie Learning Area
  • Northlands – Features an advanced triple jump line under the Mystery Chair
  • The Pit – A skate-style jib section with changing elements
  • Dark Park – A late-season park with natural snow features

2024/2025 Lift Ticket Prices

Lift ticket prices vary based on date and time. Here’s a breakdown of price ranges from the 2024/2025 season:

  • Adults (19-59): $39 – $94
  • Seniors (60+): $39 – $59
  • Youth (13-18): $39 – $59
  • Children (5-12): $25 – $37
  • Tots (4 & under): $8

Money-Saving Tips:

On Rideshare Thursdays most years you can get a single-vehicle pass for up to seven people for $179 (during the day) or $109 (in the evening). On Backpack Buddies Tuesdays, $20 from every lift ticket goes to charity.

  1. Get a Season Pass Early – The best deals on passes are usually available in February.
  2. BC Grades 4 & 5 Students Ski Free – With a SnowPass, students can ski at Mount Seymour up to three times for free.
  3. Winter Tires Are Required – M&S or winter tires are mandatory from October 1st to March 31st.
