Located on Vancouver’s North Shore, Mount Seymour Provincial Park is a year-round destination offering a variety of outdoor activities. Just a 30-minute drive from downtown Vancouver, this scenic park is home to Mount Seymour Ski Resort and features stunning views of Vancouver, Mount Baker, and Indian Arm Provincial Park.

Things to Do at Mount Seymour in Summer

During the warmer months, Mount Seymour Provincial Park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy:

  • Hiking: Explore 14 scenic trails, including popular routes to Dog Mountain and Mystery Lake—both relatively easy hikes that are perfect for beginners. For a more challenging trek, the Baden Powell Trail runs through the park, connecting West Vancouver to Deep Cove.
  • Swimming: While chilly, Mystery Lake is a great spot for a refreshing dip after a summer hike.
  • Mountain Biking & Cycling: Mount Seymour boasts an extensive network of mountain biking trails, including Old Buck and Bridle Path. Road cyclists can also challenge themselves on the ascent or enjoy a thrilling ride down the mountain.
  • Wildlife Viewing & Picnicking: The park provides designated picnic areas and opportunities to spot local wildlife and birds.
