Sasquatch Mountain in Winter
Sasquatch Mountain Resort is one of the Lower Mainland’s best-kept secrets, offering incredible skiing and winter activities just a couple of hours from Vancouver. Despite being a sizeable ski destination with excellent snowfall, many Vancouverites are still unfamiliar with it—even after its rebranding from Hemlock Valley to Sasquatch in 2017. The name change helped boost awareness, but it remains an underrated gem for winter sports enthusiasts.
Beyond skiing and snowboarding, Sasquatch Mountain Resort offers a variety of fun winter activities, including tubing and snowshoeing.

SKIING AT SASQUATCH MOUNTAIN
One of the most striking features of Sasquatch Mountain Resort is its vast, open terrain, offering skiers and snowboarders plenty of space to explore. Unlike more crowded resorts, much of the mountain remains wide open, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience on the slopes.
With a vertical drop of 363 meters and a longest run stretching over 2 kilometers, the resort offers exciting challenges for experienced skiers while remaining accessible for newcomers. The base lodge sits at 970 meters in elevation, with the mountain peak reaching 1,333 meters (4,374 feet).
